13 [00:03:58] <cyveris> "format flash" isn't very

15 [00:04:23] <brutex> cyveris: to format a stick
16 [00:04:31] <cyveris> That's the same thing with

17 [00:04:40] <cyveris> brutex: Are you trying to create a
filesystem so that you can use it for storage?
18 [00:04:45] <brutex> yes
19 [00:04:50] <cyveris> brutex: Then dd is not your friend.
20 [00:05:28] <cyveris> You'll first want to create a
partition on the stick, then mkfs.<whatever> filesystem you
want on the new partition.

to, because I don't know systemd journaling, but I do know sysv
sylog pretty well.
24 [00:07:00] <HelloShitty> Well, we were yet discussing about
how I was going to use the TPLink device
25 [00:07:41] <jhutchins> Azrael_-: Here's my suggestion:
run the program as per it's defaults, let it log to syslog, and
learn more about the program and logging as it does.
26 [00:07:54] <jochum> HelloShitty: a question first, why you

logger is a better solution anyway for programs that don't have
syslog compatibility built in (like custom scripts).

running tends to hold the file open, so you can't append to it
