pressing alt-f4 in the installer, that may give you more
information. I think the shell prompts (alt-f2 or f3) have lspci in
the environment as well, so you can find out what ethernet
controller this is.

firmware/kernel in buster. at that point you can either install
using a dvd offline installer and set up the network later, or

since 2018 so this doesn't surprise me. ONe thing I do like
about this laptop is that it is flamingly bright. I hate dim

system and download it. The system I am talking to you from now is
too old, and too slow for doing this type of stuff. The new XPS is
an enormously powerful computer, maybe too powerfull what I am
doing. It has a 6 core processor, and can easily handle most tasks
if the processor is throttled in half with one of the two 16 gb
modules removed.

I'm running two 4 drive enclosures. Had one enclosure full and

reconnect. iirc i just killed it and when i opened a video in mpv it

had the manpage to look for options and the like (and the old
instance of course)

systems are assigned to the same mount point (/opt): /dev/nvmeOn1p14
and /dev/nvmeOn1p15. How do I correct this problem? I'm just
finishing up setting up my file system for a new Debian Linux
install. I finally got the install to recognize the drives on my XPS
15 7590, and determined I had to uncheck the RAID setting in the
bios before running the install.
