pure-ftpd in debian. i set up fure-ftpd common, no db involved,
added a system user , added the user via pure-pw, did the pure-pw
mkdb thing and restarted the service, but authentication still
fails. so imentioned that debian uses conf dir style... but
pure-ftpd usually has a lot of commandline options to start with, i
tried set up some things in the conf dir, but they seem to be
totally ignored.... runnig
927 [10:18:27] <verblendet> it from commandline with options

systemd that causes pain here? as i cant see the given options n ps

machine's kernel from 4.9 to 4.18, and gdm would not load
correctly. So I removed the kernel and reverted the kernel libc. Gdm
is still angry: it starts up, forces virtual terminal 1 to be
selected, waits less than a minute before being terminated and
restarted, repeats. If I stop the gdm3 service, I can run startx
directly. startx correctly launches gnome and everything works. I
have
